Hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park

Aspen Lodge offers Estes Park tours to Trail Ridge Road and Rocky Mountain National Park.  RMNP contains hundreds of miles of trails, many accessible most of the year. Pick up maps, trail information or book a private guide with us at the Aspen Lodge Activity Center.

Aspen Lodge offers several different hikes to suit your needs and experience level. Options include an easy Twilight hike to enjoy a Rocky Mountain sunset with your whole family, or join us on one of our daily scheduled guided hikes available through the summer season.

For those who what to trek out on their own, our guides are experienced and knowledgeable and will assist you in finding a trail that’s just right for you.

Trail Ridge Van Tour

Aspen Lodge is providing a unique photo opportunity for those daring enough to try. This special van tour ascends up the 11-mile Old Fall River Road. This one way dirt road is cut in to the side of the mountain face and offers spectacular views of distant waterfall, roadside streams and falls. It also has some shear drop offs at its side that will take your breath away.

The descent takes you back down through the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park on the famous Trail Ridge Road.

Aspen Lodge is proud to be a link in the 42 mile Inn-to-Inn hiking footpath from Estes Park, through the Rocky Mountain National Park, to Allenspark, Colorado.

Join in the fun and diversity of long distance Inn-to-inn hiking. Your party stops each night at different lodging, i.e. intimate B & B, dude ranch, rustic cabins. Colorado’s Walter Tishma Way hiking offers luggage transfers to allow walkers to travel light with just a daypack. Inn-to-inn hiking is a popular European sport which has made its way to the United States.

Footpaths use whatever route is available. Whether on hiking trails, roads, country lanes and mountain passes, these paths can take you through meadow or local neighborhoods, creating a beautiful and diverse route from the start to the finish of your journey.
