Fall & Spring Riding
Spring and fall horseback riding at Aspen Lodge in Estes Park near Rocky Mountain National Park each have their own special qualities. View stunning fall colors, gorgeous spring flowers or feel the crunch of spring snow under hooves as you walk along. Experience one or two-hour rides on high Colorado mountain trails for an unsurpassed adventure on our fabulous horses.
Fall - Daily
1 hour Ride Wrangler's choice -- walking ride - 9:00am
~ $35
2 hour Twin Sisters Loop -- walking ride - 11:00am
~ $50
1 hour Long's Peak Loop -- walking ride - 2:00pm
Additional Rides are available upon request
Spring Riding
* 1 hour walking ride ~ $35
* 2 hour walking ride - when spring thaw permits ~ $50
Winter Riding
We currently are not offering winter horseback rides. Please see our Sleigh Ride package information for more winter fun in the Rocky Mountains.
* There can be heavy snow on the trails at these upper elevations into June, please call ahead for conditions.
Riding terms and conditions:
- Advanced reservations required at the Aspen Lodge front desk. Call 970-586-8133 by 9:00am the day of your ride
- Register 30 minutes prior to ride at the Aspen Lodge front desk. All rides will start at the listed times from the Aspen Lodge Livery
- 2 person minimum, 6 person maximum. (Please call to arrange rides over 6 riders)
- Minimum age is 8 years old for all walking rides
- 24 hour cancellation policy - No-shows will be charged in full
- Aspen Lodge Ranch Resort reserves the right to cancel rides due to weather or trail conditions
