Snowshoe Hikes & Cross-Country Skiing near Estes Park
Rocky Mountain National Park has hundreds of miles of summer hiking trails. In the winter, most of these are accessible to the snowshoe hiker and adventurous cross-country skier. The proximity of Aspen Lodge to the park gives our guests an unlimited variety of terrain in a scenic unspoiled setting.
Rentals at the Aspen Lodge Activity Center are $10/half day, $14/all day. There are several shops in town that offer more rentals & guides.

Downhill Skiing at Eldora Mountain Resort
50 minutes south of Aspen Lodge lies the Eldora Mountain Resort. With 680 acres, 1400 vertical feet and 10 chair lifts, the ski area has runs to challenge downhill skiers of all levels. Lessons, rentals and packages are available. For the cross-country enthusiast, Eldora has a complete Nordic center with 45km of groomed cross country and skating tracks.
The Aspen Lodge can provide transportation to and from the ski area for $85/group, round-trip. Maximum group size is 14 people.
