Grand Re-Opening Celebration
Help us celebrate our Grand Re-Opening!
We invite you to join us on July 13, 2014 to celebrate our official re-opening to the public after the floods and landslide of September 2013. Don't forget your hiking boots or sunscreen - guests are encouraged to spend the day enjoying the Lodge’s hiking trails, lake and spectacular views, all free of charge.
The event will encompass a short speech of gratitude to the Lodge volunteers who helped with recovery efforts by owner Yun Xiang Tseng (Master Chen), a ribbon cutting ceremony and free wagon rides around the slide area as well as free access to the above listed onsite amenities.
Anyone who attends the Grand Re-Opening is welcome to attend a talk given by Master Chen the morning of July 13 titled “From Crisis Comes Opportunity,” based on Daoist philosophy, directly followed by a Tai Chi class. The lecture and Tai Chi class are complementary.
That night a dinner will be held in honor of those who helped to clean up and rebuild the Lodge at our onsite restaurant. The dinner is free for volunteers, who will receive an invitation, and open to the public for a $30/person donation, 100% of which will go toward the continuing rebuilding efforts of the Lodge’s property and surrounding land.
Guests are encouraged to stay at the Lodge for the week encompassing the Grand Re-Opening (July 11-18, 2014) at a discounted rate of $99/night!
